Hezbollah announced the launch of three separate operations on Sunday targeting occupation military vehicles, troops, and a command headquarters in southern Lebanon using drones and artillery shells.
The group stated that its fighters carried out a drone strike which achieved a “direct hit” on an Israeli military D9 bulldozer in the Khallat Raj area near the town of Deir Siryan in the Marjayoun district of southern Lebanon.
In a second operation, Hezbollah said its fighters targeted an occupation army command headquarters in the city of Khiam using two drones, claiming that the attack caused confirmed casualties and damage.
The group added that a third operation targeted a gathering of occupation vehicles and troops near the Khiam municipality using artillery fire.
Hezbollah’s fibre optic guided drones have emerged as a major challenge for occupation forces in southern Lebanon. The drones have reportedly killed and wounded soldiers while the Israeli military has acknowledged difficulties in countering them due to the inability to jam their signals electronically.
