Hezbollah has released footage documenting an attack targeting an anti drone interception system in southern Lebanon using an explosive drone strike.
According to the published footage, the operation targeted a radar and drone jamming system installed by Israeli forces inside a building in the town of Al Bayyada in southern Lebanon.
The video shows an explosive laden drone approaching the site before striking what Hezbollah described as the system’s central control unit, causing a direct explosion inside the facility.
The operation comes amid ongoing Israeli difficulties in intercepting Hezbollah drones operating across the Lebanese front.
Military analysts and resistance aligned media have repeatedly pointed to Hezbollah’s increasing use of fibre optic guidance systems in some drone operations, a method that significantly reduces the effectiveness of conventional electronic jamming and interception systems.
The released footage appears to reinforce claims that Israeli anti drone systems are struggling to neutralise certain types of low altitude and precision operated Hezbollah drones during ongoing confrontations in southern Lebanon.
