The Kuwaiti military announced that its air defences were responding to hostile missile and drone attacks, urging citizens to follow security and safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
The military added that any explosion sounds heard across the country were the result of interception operations carried out by air defence systems.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stated that it had launched attacks against US military forces in Kuwait in response to American strikes that targeted Qeshm Island.
For its part, US Central Command said it had thwarted two Iranian drone attempts aimed at attacking American forces stationed in Kuwait.
The command explained that its air defence systems successfully intercepted and shot down several Iranian drones, adding that no damage or casualties had been reported among US forces.
