The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon carried out a series of military operations on Friday targeting Israeli occupation military vehicles, positions, and troop concentrations across several locations in southern Lebanon.
According to statements issued by the resistance, fighters launched two separate loitering drones at 9:30 pm, targeting a gathering of Israeli occupation soldiers at the Galilee Division’s barracks and an artillery position in Khirbet Maar.
Israeli Military Vehicles Forced to Retreat
The resistance announced that at 12:05 am its fighters targeted Israeli military vehicles advancing near the sports ground in the town of Haddatha with artillery fire, forcing them to withdraw.
At 8:35 am, a swarm of attack drones struck the al Malikiyah military site and the Yiftah barracks.
Fifteen minutes later, at 8:50 am, resistance fighters targeted a Merkava tank in the town of Yohmor al Shaqif using appropriate weapons. The tank was reportedly seen burning after the strike.
Drone Strikes Target Occupation Positions
At 1:00 pm, the resistance targeted a concentration of Israeli occupation troops near the settlement of Natua with a swarm of attack drones.
Twenty minutes later, another drone attack targeted the newly established Nimr al Jaml military position.
At 1:30 pm, resistance fighters detonated an explosive device against an Israeli military vehicle in Yohmor al Shaqif. The vehicle was reportedly seen on fire following the operation.
Three Tanks Hit Within Minutes
Between 2:30 pm and 2:40 pm, the resistance launched three Ababil loitering drones against three Merkava tanks in Yohmor al Shaqif, achieving what it described as confirmed direct hits.
At 7:00 pm, fighters targeted another Merkava tank east of Yohmor al Shaqif with a guided missile. The tank was reportedly seen burning.
Five minutes later, at 7:05 pm, a second Merkava tank was targeted near the town of Debbine using appropriate weapons and was also reported to have caught fire.
Response to Israeli Ceasefire Violations
In its statements, the resistance said the operations were carried out in defence of Lebanon and its people, and in response to Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement and attacks on villages in southern Lebanon that resulted in civilian casualties, including martyrs and wounded residents.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon continues its military operations as what it describes as a natural response to ongoing Israeli breaches of the ceasefire agreement reached on 18 April, following the expansion of the occupation’s aggression against Lebanon on 2 March.
