The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon has released new battlefield footage documenting part of the operations carried out by its fighters between 19 and 20 May during confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in southern Lebanon.
The footage captures intense clashes with Israeli military forces and armoured vehicles during what was described as the fourth failed attempt to advance towards the town of Hadatha in the central sector of southern Lebanon.
According to the military media video, the Israeli occupation army returned on the night of 20 May to launch another push towards the town after three previous failed attempts, all of which had been accompanied by heavy firepower and extensive aerial intelligence coverage.
The video stated that Israeli forces launched what it described as a desperate attempt to seize control of Hadatha, only to face fierce resistance battles fought at point blank range.
Resistance Fighters Prepared for Close Range Combat
The footage showed detailed surveillance operations carried out by the resistance to monitor the movement of Israeli military bulldozers and vehicles around the outskirts of the town.
Fighters were seen inside operations rooms and frontline positions preparing heavy and medium machine guns alongside rocket propelled munitions, displaying what the footage portrayed as high morale and full combat readiness.
Military media cameras also documented spontaneous conversations between resistance fighters as preparations for the ambush unfolded.
The footage showed Israeli vehicles and troops beginning their advance at approximately 8:45 pm Beirut time under intense aerial cover from Israeli warplanes conducting heavy airstrikes in support of the advancing force.
However, resistance fighters were already positioned along the Hadatha-Rshaf road, where they detonated large explosive devices targeting the advancing Israeli units before heavy clashes erupted.
The resistance described the fighting as direct confrontations fought “from zero distance”.
During the battle, one field commander was heard saying amid gunfire and airstrikes: “Visibility is unclear… If you support Allah, He will support you and make your feet firm,” while confirming the successful detonation of explosives against the advancing Israeli force.
Four Military Bulldozers and an Armoured Carrier Destroyed
The released footage also included scenes highlighting the advance of resistance fighters towards an Israeli military bulldozer participating in the assault operation, with fighters delivering direct battlefield messages before engaging the vehicle and forcing Israeli troops to retreat.
Additional daytime footage documenting the aftermath of the ambush showed a heavily damaged Israeli D9 military bulldozer belonging to the engineering corps completely destroyed and burned out on the battlefield.
According to the footage, the bulldozer’s driver and accompanying forces were killed or wounded during the operation.
The video also showed an Israeli armoured personnel carrier engulfed in flames after being directly targeted, with thick smoke rising from the vehicle.
One resistance fighter appeared standing atop the wreckage and metal tracks of the destroyed Israeli bulldozer, declaring that Israeli tanks and bulldozers would continue to be shattered on the soil of southern Lebanon.
He further stated that the people of southern Lebanon would return to their homes with dignity and that the liberation of the land remained a non negotiable objective.
The military media video concluded with an on screen message reading: “A new defeat for the enemy at the gates of Hadatha despite all firepower, intelligence support, and four attempts to occupy it. Hadatha has become a new symbol of humiliating the enemy, another village from the proud south that taught the world a lesson in sacrifice, dignity, and resistance against oppression regardless of the cost.”
