Iran has signalled that it remains in a state of war readiness despite the declared ceasefire, citing deep mistrust towards both the United States and the Israeli occupation.
Military Readiness Maintained Despite Ceasefire
Iranian army spokesperson Mohammad Akrami Nia stated that Tehran continues to operate under active war conditions, confirming that surveillance, monitoring, and military preparations remain ongoing without interruption.
Speaking to state television on Tuesday, he emphasised that from Iran’s perspective, the ceasefire does not mark the end of hostilities. Instead, the military continues to function under heightened alert, maintaining operational readiness across all fronts.
Strategic Distrust Driving Escalation
Akrami Nia made it clear that Iran’s position is shaped by its lack of trust in both Washington and Tel Aviv. This distrust underpins Tehran’s refusal to treat the ceasefire as a genuine de-escalation.
According to his remarks, Iran is approaching the current phase as an extension of the conflict rather than a conclusion, reinforcing its defence posture and maintaining full preparedness for potential escalation.
Warning of New Military Response
The Iranian spokesperson issued a direct warning that any renewed aggression would trigger a different level of response. He stated that if the enemy initiates another attack, Iran’s armed forces will respond using new tools, new methods, and across new domains.
This signals a potential shift in military strategy, indicating that future retaliation may not follow previous patterns, and could involve expanded operational tactics.
