The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, have released gripping footage of a sophisticated ambush targeting Israeli military vehicles along a key supply route in the Al-Zanah area, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
The video captures the meticulous planning undertaken by Al-Qassam fighters as they prepared to strike an Israeli supply convoy. The operation included the strategic placement of high-explosive charges and coordinated movements to entrap and engage the enemy at close range.
Fighters from the resistance group used an underground tunnel to access the area undetected and planted two Shawaz-type explosive devices, known for their powerful impact, along the route regularly used by Israeli military convoys.
As the Israeli convoy passed through, Al-Qassam forces detonated the explosives beneath two armoured personnel carriers (APCs), immediately disabling them. Moments later, a third APC was struck with a Yasin-105 anti-armour projectile, further escalating the confrontation.
The fighters then pursued a fourth vehicle attempting to flee the scene. A direct gun battle ensued as Israeli soldiers scrambled to escape under heavy fire from Al-Qassam’s close-range units.
Confirmed Casualties in the Occupation Ranks
According to field reports from Al-Qassam, the ambush resulted in the killing of two Israeli officers and left two others critically wounded.
The operation not only demonstrates the advanced tactical capabilities of the Palestinian resistance but also underscores the persistent vulnerability of Israeli ground forces operating in southern Gaza—particularly in the face of tunnel-based guerrilla warfare, a method perfected by Palestinian factions over the years.
This latest strike serves as a reminder of the growing military resilience of Palestinian resistance groups and the intensifying cost of the Israeli occupation’s ground campaign in Gaza.
