The Israeli Security Ministry announced plans to establish a directorate for the forced displacement and ethnic cleansing of Gaza under the name of “Voluntary emigration from Gaza”, in coordination with other government departments.
Security Minister Israel Katz decided to establish this directorate within the ministry during a recent meeting. The directorate will also involve representatives from various other ministries and security agencies, according to a ministry statement.
At a joint news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump stated that the United States “will take over,” “own,” and transform the Gaza Strip into the “Riviera of the Middle East.”
To make matters worse, he revealed last week that Palestinians would not have the right to return to Gaza, stating of the territory, “I would own this.”
The plan to forcibly displace Palestinians and ethnically cleanse Gaza will include “options of departure”, or means to expel Palestinians from their land, through land, sea, and air.
Egypt, Jordan stress need for Gaza immediate reconstruction
Hamas previously addressed the general public and responded to all the schemes aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians, proposed by Trump and the colonial powers that support him, affirming that Palestinians will only move to al-Quds.
Meanwhile, in continued rejection of the ethnic cleansing plot, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Jordanian Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II reaffirmed the urgent need to begin the reconstruction of Gaza while ensuring that Palestinians remain in their lands, during their meeting on Sunday.
The Jordanian Crown Prince emphasized his country’s support for Egypt’s efforts in formulating a comprehensive plan for Gaza’s reconstruction. He also highlighted Jordan’s backing of the emergency Arab summit, scheduled to be hosted by Egypt on February 27, stressing the importance of achieving a unified Arab stance on the Palestinian cause.
The US is also pressuring Cairo to embrace Trump’s scheme for Gaza’s post-war future, including the forced displacement of Palestinians to Egypt, according to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, as reported by the Times of Israel.
Quoting Egyptian sources in Washington, the London-based outlet claims that the Pentagon has cautioned Egyptian military officials about potential restrictions on military aid if Cairo refuses to comply with Trump’s plan.
Specifically, the sources indicate that essential supplies for routine maintenance and spare weapons parts could be at risk.
Egypt, on the other hand, has launched an intensive diplomatic push to rally support for an Arab-led initiative to rebuild the Gaza Strip, prioritizing practical solutions over political concerns to counter a widely unpopular plan from US President Donald Trump.
