The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced a series of operations targeting Israeli military positions and troop concentrations in northern occupied Palestine, describing the attacks as a response to Israeli ceasefire violations and continued attacks on villages in southern Lebanon that resulted in civilian casualties and injuries.
According to the statement, resistance fighters launched a suicide drone attack at 9:30 am against a concentration of Israeli occupation soldiers inside the Doviv military base in northern occupied Palestine.
Earlier, at 8:30 am, the resistance targeted an Israeli artillery position at Yiftah military base, as well as a gathering of occupation soldiers near Birkat Al Marj in northern occupied Palestine, using precision missiles.
The resistance stated that these operations were carried out in defence of Lebanon and its people, and in response to ongoing Israeli attacks against villages in southern Lebanon that led to the martyrdom of civilians and the injury of others.
Additional Operations Reported
In a separate operation, resistance fighters targeted three tents occupied by Israeli soldiers on the south-eastern outskirts of Yahmar Al Shaqif at 4:00 pm on Sunday.
The attack was carried out using a squadron of specialised suicide drones.
Earlier in the day, at 2:00 pm, resistance fighters launched an Ababil suicide drone against a concentration of Israeli occupation soldiers near the historic Beaufort Castle area.
At 1:15 pm, another operation targeted a gathering of Israeli military vehicles and soldiers in the town of Rashaf with a missile barrage.
Air Defence Engagement
The resistance also announced that at 11:00 am it engaged an Israeli warplane flying over the Nabatieh region using a surface-to-air missile.
According to the statement, the engagement formed part of the broader response to what it described as repeated Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement and continued attacks on civilian areas in southern Lebanon.
Response to Continued Israeli Attacks
In all of its statements regarding the operations, the Islamic Resistance reiterated that the attacks were conducted “in defence of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the Israeli enemy’s violations of the ceasefire and its attacks on villages in southern Lebanon, which resulted in martyrs and injuries among civilians.”
