Hezbollah has released dramatic footage showing the targeting of the command headquarters of Israel’s 401st Armoured Brigade in southern Lebanon, in an attack that reportedly left the brigade commander seriously wounded in the head.
The footage shows a Hezbollah reconnaissance drone identifying the location and surveying military targets inside the site before striking several vehicles and destroying them.
During the drone operation, Hezbollah fighters reportedly identified the building being used as the brigade’s command headquarters and central operations room after two officers were seen fleeing from a rooftop into the building upon noticing the drone overhead.
The video then shows the drone entering the building, clearly capturing the command room and monitoring screens installed inside before detonating among the officers gathered there.
According to the footage and accompanying statement, the explosion seriously wounded the brigade commander along with several other officers inside the operations room.
Additional drone strikes later targeted the site, with the footage showing burned and destroyed military vehicles following the successive attacks.
