A CNN investigation has revealed what it describes as unprecedented levels of destruction at United States military bases across Gulf states, following Iranian missile and drone strikes.
Kuwaiti Base Reduced to Widespread Ruin
According to the report, Camp Buehring in Kuwait, once active with US troops and daily operations, has been heavily damaged. The base is now largely reduced to debris, with destruction affecting most of its facilities after sustained and concentrated Iranian bombardment.
Extensive Damage Across Multiple Military Sites
CNN reports that at least 16 US military sites across the region sustained significant damage. The impact was particularly severe on personnel facilities and advanced radar systems, which form a critical component of US surveillance and monitoring capabilities in the region.
Senior officers cited in the investigation stated that the Iranian strikes were rapid, precise, and executed using advanced technology. The attacks reportedly destroyed aircraft worth millions of dollars, along with high-value radar infrastructure.
Satellite Intelligence Enabled Precision Targeting
The report also indicates that Iran utilised high-resolution satellite imagery provided by a Chinese satellite system. This capability enabled accurate identification and targeting of key military assets across the Gulf.
