Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters issued a sharply worded warning to the United States, signalling escalation if pressure on Iranian vessels continues in regional waters.
The statement, broadcast on Iranian state television, accused US forces of maintaining a blockade and engaging in acts described as seizure and interference against Iranian shipping. It warned that any continuation of such actions would trigger a forceful response from Iran’s armed forces.
Military Readiness and Escalation Posture
The command stated that Iran’s military capabilities are at their highest level of readiness, emphasising its capacity to defend national sovereignty, territory and strategic interests. It further claimed that elements of this offensive capability had already been demonstrated during what it described as the “third imposed war”.
This framing aligns with broader Iranian messaging that positions current tensions as part of an ongoing confrontation driven by the US and its allies.
Strategic Control of the Strait of Hormuz
The statement placed particular emphasis on Iran’s control over the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as a critical zone under continuous monitoring by Iranian forces.
It warned that Iran remains fully prepared to manage and control the strait, and to inflict significant damage on opposing forces should any renewed incursion occur. The language signals a willingness to escalate within one of the world’s most strategically sensitive maritime corridors.
Surveillance and Forward Defence Measures
Iranian forces, according to the statement, are actively tracking the movements and behaviour of adversaries in the region. The command stressed its commitment to maintaining operational oversight while preparing for rapid response scenarios.
The warning concluded with a direct message that any future aggression by US or allied forces would be met with decisive military action, reinforcing an already elevated regional risk environment.
