Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a stark warning, threatening a response that would “bring regret” if the ongoing aggression against Lebanon is not halted immediately.
In an official statement, the Guard said that only hours after a ceasefire agreement was reached, the Israeli occupation launched what it described as a brutal assault on Beirut, continuing a pattern of violence targeting civilians, including women and children.
Warning to the United States and Israel
The statement delivered a direct warning to both the United States and Israel, accusing Washington of breaching its commitments and acting in coordination with its Israeli ally. It stressed that if attacks on Lebanon continue, Iran will act in accordance with its obligations and deliver a decisive response against those responsible.
Any Attack on Hezbollah Is an Attack on Iran
Separately, Majid Mousavi, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, stated that any attack on Hezbollah will be treated as an attack on Iran itself.
He added that preparations are underway for a powerful and decisive response to what he described as ongoing crimes committed by Israel.
Iran Sets Clear Terms for Ceasefire
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the terms of the ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States are clear and non negotiable. He emphasised that Washington must choose between upholding the ceasefire or allowing the continuation of war through Israeli actions, stating that both options cannot coexist.
Araghchi added that the ongoing massacres in Lebanon are being witnessed globally, placing responsibility squarely on the United States to honour its commitments.
