The leader of the Ansar Allah movement, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, said that upcoming rounds of confrontation with the Israeli occupation state are “certain”, calling for vigilance.
This came in a speech broadcast by media outlets affiliated with the group, following an absence from public addresses lasting more than forty days.
Al Houthi stressed that “the upcoming rounds with the Israeli enemy are confirmed, with no doubt about that, and the Ummah must be in a state of vigilance”.
He said that enemies are moving clearly across the region and openly declaring their intentions when they speak about what they call “changing the Middle East”.
He added that this change is clearly aimed at achieving complete control and facilitating the implementation of their objective under what is referred to as “Greater Israel”, in order to subjugate the region and its peoples to what he described as the most criminal, worst, and most hateful enemy.
Al Houthi stated that the United States and the Israeli occupation state seek to render people vulnerable to Israeli violations against blood, honour, land, wealth, and sacred sites.
The Houthi leader also attacked the Arab Republic of Egypt over the gas deal concluded by Cairo with the Israeli occupation state. He said: “Among the gravest sins and major mistakes, an ethical and religious crime, and also a crime against Egyptian national security, is the Egyptian regime’s move to conclude the largest deal in the history of the Israeli enemy to purchase looted and stolen gas taken from the Palestinian people”.
He also accused the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of concluding deals with the occupation state in the field of cables and communications.
The Ansar Allah leader further attacked the new Syrian regime, accusing it of seeking normalisation with the Israeli enemy.
He said that with the pursuit by the groups controlling Syria to normalise relations with the enemy, it is unacceptable for them to possess weapons in southern Syria or other areas. He accused the Damascus authorities of directing their weapons toward stirring strife, internal fighting, conflicts, and acts of mass killing, without firing a single bullet at the Israeli enemy, even amid air strikes, occupation, and what he described as Zionist thuggery on Syrian territory.
The speech by the Houthi leader comes one day after the group held funerals for prominent military commanders killed in US air strikes on the capital Sana’a in March, according to local reports.
On Thursday, the Houthis also held a funeral for the commander of the drone aviation unit, Zakaria Hajar, along with staff officers and other leaders in the same unit, without disclosing the time or place of their deaths.
