Leaked documents have revealed the United Arab Emirates’ role in enabling the starvation of Gaza’s population by hosting the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) headquarters in Dubai and providing financial, media, and political backing for the group’s schemes against Palestinians.
Diplomatic sources confirmed that BCG’s involvement in projects linked to the distribution of so-called humanitarian aid in Gaza—aid that became a tool for killing and starving civilians—would not have been possible without the safe haven and support provided by the UAE.
For years, Abu Dhabi has actively courted major Western consultancy firms, with BCG at the forefront, offering them political cover and financial incentives to operate freely in the region.
Dubai, home to one of BCG’s largest offices in the Middle East, has been more than a mere geographic location. It has become a power hub for the company within the UAE’s broader strategy of investing in an “economy of influence” by aligning itself with Western decision-making networks.
In this way, the UAE transformed itself into a launchpad for projects that appear humanitarian on the surface, but in reality serve as instruments of political and security pressure on the Palestinian people.
From “Aid” to Tools of Oppression
Reports in The Wall Street Journal and Financial Times confirm that the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” initiative—launched by BCG with Israeli backing—devolved into a deadly trap, killing hundreds of Palestinians as they attempted to obtain food.
Such a scenario could not have been executed without Emirati cover. Abu Dhabi played the role of incubator, providing funding, media legitimacy, and political shelter from the heart of a major commercial hub like Dubai.
The UAE has long marketed itself as a “regional humanitarian centre.” Yet in reality, its projects have become vehicles for normalisation and complicity with the occupation’s agenda.
Choosing Dubai as BCG’s regional base was no coincidence—it was part of a larger strategy to harness international institutions and global corporations in service of a deepening UAE-Israeli alliance.
False Neutrality, Open Complicity
When BCG faced public outrage, the firm attempted to dismiss its role as the result of “individual misconduct.” But this narrative collapsed under the weight of facts: official meetings took place in Dubai, personally attended by CEO Christoph Schweizer, who faced mass resignations and employee anger.
The Dubai meeting itself became a stage that exposed the depth of Emirati involvement. When one employee described Israel as a “genocidal regime,” the CEO refused to endorse the description, backtracking by saying, “genocide is a big word.”
This episode highlighted the influence of the UAE’s political environment. Abu Dhabi’s much-touted “neutrality” is nothing more than a façade designed to shield its interests with Israel and sustain such projects.
A Web of UAE–Israel Interests
The UAE’s support for BCG is inseparable from its broader path of normalisation with Israel since the 2020 Abraham Accords.
Beyond security and trade cooperation, Abu Dhabi has gone further by offering “humanitarian” fronts for projects implemented at the expense of Palestinians.
Hosting BCG offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is not a neutral economic activity—it is a tool to weave networks of influence among Western financial and political elites.
When the group was implicated in drafting financial models for Gaza’s “reconstruction” that included the option of “voluntary Palestinian relocation,” the Emirati role in sheltering such work became a partnership in ethnic cleansing.
Internal Backlash: Employees Rebel
The scandal shook BCG from within, sparking heated debates among its staff, particularly in Middle East offices. Reports confirm that employees walked out of a Dubai meeting in protest at the CEO’s remarks, while others expressed shame and disillusionment.
This internal backlash exposed the fragility of the so-called “humanitarian project” the UAE had promoted by hosting such companies. While Emirati media portrayed the country as a “centre of peace,” the reality revealed a partnership in schemes that strike at the heart of the Palestinian cause and turn aid into a deadly snare.
By embracing BCG, the UAE showcased the true nature of its foreign policy: balancing its image as a model Western ally with its role as a regional agent facilitating dirty projects.
Its wager is clear: accumulate political and economic capital through ties with Israel and American corporations, even at the cost of starving and displacing Palestinians.
At a time when Gaza faces its worst humanitarian catastrophe in decades, Abu Dhabi plays a central role in legitimising suspicious initiatives—opening its territory and institutions to host projects that reinforce Gaza’s siege rather than lifting it.
This embrace of BCG is not an innocent economic move, but a calculated step to legitimise policies of ethnic cleansing and starvation, turning Emirati soil into a platform for advancing new colonial agendas.
For too long, the UAE acting out as a peaceful state, is a mysnomer. It has and will continue to expand their idol’s – Israel, agenda in the ME especially fertile lands of Africa. They are not in way linked to Islam nor to the Arabs.. These people have been hand picked as agents of the x1# expansionist movement, ever since the demise of the Ottamman empire. They are certainly not Muslims nor do the show any physical signs of being so.
