In a significant escalation, Iranian missile strikes reportedly hit the headquarters of Israeli military intelligence and command operations in Tel Aviv early Thursday morning.
According to Iran’s state news agency, the targeted facility served as a central base for Israel’s military intelligence and operational command, making it the primary objective of the large-scale morning salvo launched by Tehran.
Israeli military censors quickly imposed a media blackout, banning the publication of any images, footage, or detailed reports related to the strike—highlighting the sensitive nature of the damage.
Casualties Reported, Hospital Infrastructure Severely Damaged
Wolfson Medical Center in Holon, located within Greater Tel Aviv, confirmed that it had received 16 injured individuals, including three in critical condition, from the area where one of the missiles impacted.
Meanwhile, Iranian sources also reported targeting a major military installation near Soroka Medical Center in the southern city of Be’er Sheva. The installation is said to house thousands of Israeli troops and advanced digital warfare systems.
Footage circulating from the vicinity shows extensive and unprecedented structural damage to Soroka Hospital’s infrastructure. As a precautionary measure, medical teams initiated a partial evacuation of patients and staff.
Israeli Authorities Confirm Strikes in the South
On Thursday morning, Israeli police released an official statement acknowledging that Iranian missiles had made direct hits in southern Israel, though no specific locations were disclosed. Authorities urged the public and media to refrain from sharing images or details related to missile impact sites, citing security concerns.
Dozens of Missiles Launched in Coordinated Attack
Israel’s state broadcasting authority reported that between 20 and 30 missiles were fired from Iranian territory during this latest wave of attacks. The scale and precision of the strikes mark a notable intensification in Iran’s retaliatory campaign against Israel, following weeks of escalating conflict.
Strategic Blow to Israeli Intelligence and Psychological Impact
The targeting of Israel’s military intelligence hub and adjacent civilian infrastructure underscores a deliberate and symbolic escalation by Iran. By striking key nodes of military command alongside hospitals and densely populated areas, Tehran signals its growing reach and willingness to confront Israeli power centers head-on.
As Israeli censorship tightens and international observers monitor the fallout, the situation continues to evolve rapidly—bringing the region ever closer to full-scale confrontation.
