In a powerful statement underscoring Egypt’s stance, Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty delivered a direct message to the Israeli occupation, asserting that military brutality will not bring Israel the victory it seeks.
The message came during a meeting in Cairo with a delegation from the Palestinian Fatah movement, headed by Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub. The meeting reaffirmed Egypt’s unequivocal support for the Palestinian Authority and rejection of any attempts to fragment Palestinian territory, especially the separation of Gaza from the West Bank.
Cairo Rejects Israel’s Aggression and Impunity
Minister Abdel Aaty condemned the ongoing Israeli onslaught on Gaza and the West Bank, calling out Tel Aviv’s ruthless military operations and total disregard for international humanitarian law.
He criticised Israel’s sense of impunity, stating that its belief in military dominance as a path to security is a dangerous illusion. Rather than bringing peace, Israel’s war crimes will only deepen hatred and resentment in the region and harden the barriers to coexistence.
“These atrocities,” Abdel Aaty warned, “do not secure Israel. They isolate it further and place more obstacles in the path of sustainable peace.”
Egypt Renews Push for Ceasefire, Humanitarian Aid
Abdel Aaty also reviewed Egypt’s ongoing efforts to restore a ceasefire in Gaza and resume humanitarian aid as quickly as possible. Cairo remains firm in its opposition to any forced displacement of Palestinians, reaffirming its commitment to the Arab-Islamic plan for Gaza’s reconstruction.
He stressed the importance of Palestinian unity and the central role of the Palestinian Authority, underlining that any future must include:

Abdel Aaty also warned of the dangerous consequences of ongoing international silence, which he labelled “shameful” in the face of Israel’s systematic crimes in occupied Palestine.
Retired Egyptian General: “Israel Has Not Won”
In parallel, retired Egyptian General Samir Farag offered a stark assessment of Israel’s military failure during an interview on “Ala Mas’ouliyati” with journalist Ahmed Mousa.
“Has Israel won today? Absolutely not,” Farag said.“It has not achieved any of its declared goals. It failed to retrieve its hostages through fighting — only negotiations worked. It hasn’t conquered Gaza, and it certainly hasn’t eliminated Hamas.”
He added that Hamas has succeeded in bringing the Palestinian cause back to the global stage, stating:
“Despite the immense suffering, Hamas has reignited international awareness. The two-state solution is now back on the table as a global necessity.”
