In the final hours before the ceasefire agreement came into effect in Lebanon, the battlefield witnessed a sharp and unprecedented military escalation, with both Israeli occupation forces and Hezbollah significantly intensifying their operations.
According to field data, Israeli strikes targeted approximately 101 locations across Lebanon from the early hours of the morning. The attacks resulted in the killing of 35 people and left 106 others injured. In parallel, Hezbollah announced the execution of 56 attacks targeting Israeli settlements and military positions, triggering air raid sirens 23 times across large areas in northern occupied territories.
Escalation Until the Final Moments
Minutes before the ceasefire officially took effect, sirens sounded in the settlement of Kiryat Shmona and surrounding areas following rocket fire from southern Lebanon. The developments reflected sustained tension and active confrontation up to the final moments before the agreement was enforced.
Israeli airstrikes expanded to cover dozens of towns and regions across southern and central Lebanon, including Nabatieh, Tyre, and Bint Jbeil. Key infrastructure was also targeted, including main roads, bridges, and critical facilities. Simultaneous air and artillery strikes hit multiple areas such as Khiam, Mansouri, and Qleileh, while heavy bombardment created an intense fire belt over the city of Nabatieh, leading to widespread destruction across residential neighbourhoods.
Fierce Ground Clashes in Bint Jbeil
In Bint Jbeil, heavy clashes resumed between Hezbollah fighters and Israeli forces attempting to advance into the city. The confrontations involved both fighter jets and helicopters, while Israeli forces carried out demolitions of homes near the central market.
Bint Jbeil remains a highly symbolic frontline, with Israeli forces maintaining a siege on the city for several days while repeatedly acknowledging losses as a result of sustained resistance operations.
Casualties Across Multiple مناطق
Lebanese Ministry of Health data shows that casualties were recorded across several مناطق. In Ghazieh, 7 people were killed and 33 injured. In Saksakiyeh and Zrariyeh, 7 were killed and 27 wounded. Additional casualties were reported in Adloun, Saadiyat, Shahabiya, Nabatieh, and other المناطق.
Further strikes targeting vehicles and motorcycles resulted in additional deaths, while Syrian workers and emergency responders were among those injured in multiple locations.
Widespread Infrastructure Destruction
Israeli attacks caused extensive material damage, including the destruction of homes and facilities. Tebnine Hospital sustained damage, and the Qasmiyeh Bridge was completely cut off, isolating areas south of the Litani River from the north.
Occupation forces also demolished a secondary school in Marwahin and inflicted large-scale destruction on infrastructure, including roads and electricity networks.
Hezbollah Expands Offensive Operations
In response, Hezbollah escalated its operations, announcing 56 attacks across 49 statements. These included rocket strikes on eight settlements in northern occupied territories, including Nahariya, Kiryat Shmona, and Karmiel, as well as attacks on military sites such as the Shraga base and the Liman barracks using rockets and drones.
The group also reported targeting 21 تجمعات of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles in southern Lebanon, destroying eight Merkava tanks, armoured personnel carriers, and other military vehicles, in addition to downing a Hermes 450 drone.
Sirens Across Northern Occupied Territories
On the Israeli side, air raid sirens were activated 23 times across 34 locations, including Western Galilee, the Galilee Panhandle, and Haifa Bay. Repeated alerts were recorded in key settlements such as Nahariya and Kiryat Shmona, reflecting the expanding scope of the confrontation and its impact deep داخل the Israeli interior.
Ongoing Human Toll of the Aggression
According to the latest figures, the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon since 2 March has resulted in the killing of 2,196 people and the injury of 7,185 others. More than one million people have been displaced, as field tensions persist despite the announcement of a temporary 10-day truce.
