Israel’s Channel 13 has broadcast never-before-seen footage capturing the moment Iranian missiles struck the Bazan Oil Refinery in Haifa during the recent 12-day war, showing a direct and devastating hit.
The footage reveals three ballistic missiles crashing into the refinery, with one of them triggering a massive explosion that forced the facility to halt operations and ultimately caused extensive financial losses.
According to the report, the missiles directly hit critical infrastructure: the cooling tower units, the pipeline overpass bridge, and the operational zone for storage tanks.
Fires erupted immediately across the refinery complex. Days later, photos emerged showing fully incinerated tanks, significant damage to the main storage areas, and a large crater marking the impact zone.
In an official statement, the Bazan Group confirmed that losses from the Iranian missile attack were estimated at between $150 million and $200 million, as reported by Yedioth Ahronoth.
The company also notified the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange that it had received an initial compensation payment of approximately $48 million to begin repairing part of the damage. Bazan clarified that this amount covers the direct losses and that the company is working with a compensation fund to secure additional payments as part of ongoing recovery efforts.
