On Saturday, Pakistan declared its unwavering support for Iran and called on the Muslim world to unite against Israeli aggression following Israel’s recent strikes on Iranian territory.
Speaking before the National Assembly, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stressed the urgency of a pan-Islamic initiative to confront the Zionist entity.
“Israel has attacked Iran, Yemen, and Palestine. If Muslim nations do not unite now, each will face the same fate,” he warned.
Demand for Immediate Diplomatic Action
Asif called on Muslim-majority countries with diplomatic ties to Israel to immediately sever relations. He urged the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to convene and draft a joint strategy to counter Israeli aggression.
The minister reaffirmed that Pakistan shares strong and historic ties with Iran, stating that Islamabad stands firmly beside Tehran in these critical times.
“We are behind Iran,” he declared.
“We will support them in every international forum to protect their national interests.”
Condemnation from Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry
Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also condemned the Zionist assault, describing it as a “blatant violation of Iranian sovereignty.”
“Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the government and people of Iran,” Dar said.
Later, he held a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, during which he reiterated Pakistan’s strong support for Iran in its pursuit of regional peace and stability.
Iran Continues to Retaliate
In response to Israeli aggression, Iran continued launching missile salvos at various sites across Haifa, Tel Aviv, and other key locations, leaving the occupation in a state of shock at the scale of destruction inflicted on its infrastructure.
The latest wave of Iranian strikes resulted in:
- 10 deaths, including:
- 6 killed in Bat Yam, adjacent to Tel Aviv
- 4 women killed in Tamra, in the Galilee region
- Over 200 injuries
- 7 individuals reported missing
This raised the total death toll since Friday to 13, with more than 300 wounded.
Tel Aviv Heavily Damaged
The Tel Aviv area bore the brunt of the Iranian response:
- Bat Yam’s mayor confirmed that individuals remain trapped under a building hit directly by a missile
- 61 buildings were damaged in the strikes
- 6 buildings were declared uninhabitable and will be demolished
Rescue efforts continue under difficult and dangerous conditions, as emergency workers dig through debris.
Occupation Forces Target Tehran in Retaliation
In turn, the Israeli regime launched widespread airstrikes on Tehran and other Iranian regions.
Iran’s Ministry of Defense reported that:
- A government building and research center were struck
- A major fuel storage depot in the capital was also targeted
These developments highlight a rapidly escalating confrontation — one that now includes international political positioning, with Pakistan emerging as a bold voice in support of Iran and Islamic solidarity against the Zionist occupation.
This work demands time, pressure, and sacrifice.
