Many activists across the Arab world have engaged with Zain Telecommunications’ announcement for Ramadan 2024, in which the company expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people. Through a four-minute televised ad, the company condemned the global indifference towards the plight of Palestinians while Israeli violence against them continues unchecked.
Zain Telecommunications’ ad features a dramatized video where a group of children storm a session of the Security Council, demanding advocacy against Israel. One child, within the ad, signs a plea for the use of veto power to address the suffering of the Palestinian people.
The children continue singing within the ad, criticizing the Security Council’s laws’ indifference towards the Palestinian people and asserting that Palestinians will overcome their current challenges with a new dawn.

Zain’s ad has resonated with thousands worldwide, who praised its message and innovative approach. One user on “X” platform commented: “Zain’s ad this year is absolutely magnificent. People will vindicate us if politics remain just.”
This isn’t the first time Zain has shown solidarity with Gaza. Previously, the company stood in solidarity with Gaza against Israeli aggression. In October 2023, Zain changed its network logo on mobile phones in Jordan, writing on its Facebook page: “Zain… has become Gaza.” The post received widespread approval from network users.
