In a controversial development, the King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah revealed the translation of the meanings of the Quran into Hebrew, sparking a wave of criticism and dismay among Muslims worldwide.
It has been revealed that this Hebrew translation contained over 300 errors and distortions, constituting a blatant assault on the sanctity and religious authenticity of the Noble Quran. What exacerbates the situation is that many of these errors touch upon the essence of Islamic belief and inject poison into honey.
Among these appalling errors, in verse 7 of Surah Al-Isra where Allah says what it means: “And when the second promise came (We sent them against you), to sadden your faces and to enter the Mosque as they entered it the first time,” the word “mosque” was replaced with the word “temple” which follows the jewish beliefs of the alleged Temple of Solomon in Jerusalem
In verse 28 of Surah As-Sajdah where Allah says what it means: “And they say, “When is this conquest?” the word “conquest” was replaced with the word “judgment,” completely altering the meanings of the verses from the original text of the Noble Quran and making them fully compatible with Jewish narration and belief. In Surah Ash-Shu’ara, the translation of the verse: “So fear Allah and obey me” was completely different from its true meaning.
The shocking irony is that in Surah Taha, the meanings were translated in a way that contradicts true Islamic belief, as the phrase “The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established” was interpreted following the Jewish belief of God sitting on the Throne, which starkly contradicts the belief of Muslims in the greatness of Allah and His transcendence above place and time. This belief fundamentally conflicts with the belief of Muslims, which states that Allah does not resemble His creations and that it is not permissible for Him to be confined to place because He is the Creator of place and time. Allah, the Most Exalted, exists without place and time and does not need a throne, chair, heaven, or any of his creations.
And it doesn’t stop there, in the list of prophets in this version, they made sure to mention all the names of the prophets except for the name of the possessor of complete infallibility, our master Muhammad (peace be upon him), who is the foremost in mention for being the best of prophets and messengers and their leader.
It is worth mentioning that this translation sparked anger and condemnation among Muslims, prompting the complex to withdraw it after strong objections from the believers. Amid this outrage, people did not just express their anger, but extensive campaigns were launched on social media platforms, calling for the establishment of independent Islamic religious bodies, based on the principles of true religion and belief, completely different from the official bodies that have proven their disastrous involvement in manipulating beliefs and Islamic teachings.
