Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Tuesday announced that the regime is preparing for a new temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to secure the release of remaining captives.
He noted that “Israel” is willing to facilitate the entry of additional humanitarian aid for Gaza’s residents.
“I can confirm the fact that Israel is ready for another humanitarian pause and additional humanitarian assistance to ensure the release of the hostages,” Herzog said at a briefing.
The Israeli-led genocide in Gaza has so far resulted in the martyrdom of over 19,400, with over 52,000 reported injured.
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued their airstrikes on several areas in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, resulting in the killing and injuring of dozens of Palestinian civilians.
Earlier in the day, Al Mayadeen‘s correspondent reported that an entire residential square was shelled in the center of Al-Jabalia camp.
Palestinian media also reported a rise in the number of martyrs due to an Israeli shelling of several homes in eastern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip to at least 29, including journalist Adel Za’rab.
This raises the number of martyred journalists to 97 since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
