Five Palestinians, including a young girl, were killed and others wounded early Saturday when an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential apartment in western Gaza City, according to Palestinian media.
Israeli occupation aircraft also carried out a series of airstrikes across western Gaza City, while Israeli forces conducted demolition operations in the Tuffah neighbourhood in the city’s east.
In central Gaza, a Palestinian was wounded after an Israeli drone opened fire on civilians on Al-Ishrin Street, east of the Nuseirat refugee camp.
In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery shelled the eastern neighbourhoods of Khan Younis as Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire in the Al-Qarara area, north-east of the city.
Israeli forces also fired heavily in the Al-Mawasi area west of Rafah, where renewed gunfire was reported.
According to Gaza’s Ministry of Health, Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement had killed 1,439 Palestinians and wounded another 5,052 as of last Thursday.
