Fourteen Palestinians were killed across the Gaza Strip on Friday, including eight people in an Israeli massacre targeting mourners during the funeral of a slain Palestinian in the Nuseirat refugee camp, according to Palestinian medical sources.
An Israeli aircraft bombed the funeral procession as mourners departed from a mosque in Nuseirat, killing eight Palestinians and wounding dozens of others.
Further Killings Across Gaza
Medical sources at Al-Awda Hospital said another Palestinian was killed when Israeli forces bombed the New Camp area west of Nuseirat in central Gaza.
In Khan Younis, Nasser Hospital reported receiving the body of a Palestinian woman who was shot by Israeli forces in the Al-Kanis area, south-west of the city.
Palestinian media outlets also reported that two more Palestinians were killed in northern Gaza by Israeli gunfire and other attacks targeting the area.
More Than 25 Palestinians Killed in 72 Hours
The Government Media Office in Gaza said on Friday that the Israeli occupation army had killed more than 25 Palestinians over the previous 72 hours.
The attacks targeted markets, funerals, civilian gatherings and residential homes.
The office said:
“We are following with grave concern the systematic criminal escalation being carried out by the occupation army against unarmed civilians in Gaza, in blatant defiance of all agreements, conventions, norms and international humanitarian laws.”
