Special sources in Gaza have revealed that the resistance has thwarted a planned field operation by militias collaborating with the Israeli occupation in both Gaza City and Khan Younis, in what is believed to have been an attempt to create security chaos.
According to the sources, members of the occupation-backed militias advanced on Friday morning from their positions east of the Yellow Line in Al Qarara, east of Khan Younis, and Al Tuffah, east of Gaza City. The groups attempted to push west beyond the line under heavy covering fire from Israeli occupation forces, while reconnaissance and loitering drones provided intensive aerial support.
The sources said the resistance confronted the advancing forces, triggering intense clashes that ultimately forced the militias to retreat.
The source added that Al Tuffah, east of Gaza City, witnessed repeated grenade drops and the detonation of an Israeli drone throughout the day, aimed at covering the withdrawal of members of what it described as the occupation’s “collaborating militias” after their failed attempt to advance west of the Yellow Line.
A similar incident reportedly unfolded in Khan Younis, where gunfire was heard near the Yellow Line in the Al Qarara area, east of Hamad Residential City, coinciding with activity by the militias.
The source, who is close to Gaza’s security services, said the attempted incursions were likely intended to create security disorder by seizing areas west of the Yellow Line and using them as bases for sabotage operations. However, those plans were unsuccessful after the resistance confronted and repelled the advancing groups.
