Five Palestinians, including three children, were killed and several others seriously injured on Wednesday evening after an Israeli drone strike targeted a group of civilians near a mosque in the Beit Lahia Project area, north of the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that the attack coincided with artillery shelling by Israeli forces on the eastern outskirts of Beit Lahia. The bombardment caused shrapnel to fall onto residential homes along the town’s main street, intensifying the destruction and civilian harm.
Escalation Across Central and Southern Gaza
In central Gaza, four civilians were wounded after being shot by Israeli forces east of the Bureij refugee camp. In the south, a separate drone strike near Bani Suheila junction, east of Khan Younis, left one person critically injured.
Earlier that morning, in the northern town of Jabalia, one Palestinian was killed and others wounded when an airstrike targeted a group of residents attempting to clear the rubble of their destroyed home on Gaza Old Street.
