A high-ranking Saudi officer launched a fierce attack on the United Arab Emirates over its foreign policy, particularly its role in Sudan.
According to what our platform monitored, Colonel Abdulrahman bin Kharboush Al-Dhuwaibi of the Saudi National Guard used his account on X as a platform to criticise the UAE and its president, Mohammed bin Zayed.
In recent months, Al-Dhuwaibi has repeatedly used terms such as “Arab devils” and “the Emirates of evil” and other derogatory descriptions directed at the UAE.
He also criticised the UAE’s normalisation with the Israeli occupation, describing it as “free normalisation”.
Speaking as a Saudi citizen, Al-Dhuwaibi wrote: “We praise Allah that we live under a state that earns the prayers of Muslims everywhere for goodness and prosperity. Imagine, Allah forbid, that you were Emirati and your state brings upon you the prayers of the oppressed. People wronged and distressed stand in the night praying against you. A man performs Umrah and circumambulates the House of Allah while supplicating against you. We ask Allah for safety and well-being.”
What is notable is that Al-Dhuwaibi challenged Emirati accounts that demanded the Saudi government silence him, saying he writes under his real name and fears no one.
Al-Dhuwaibi belongs to a well-known family from the Harb tribe in Saudi Arabia. His late father, Sheikh Kharboush bin Hindi Al-Dhuwaibi, served as commander of the Sixth Battalion of the National Guard in Madinah and was a prominent tribal figure until his death in 2021.
Abdulrahman Al-Dhuwaibi is not the only one in his family holding a senior security position. Two of his brothers also occupy sensitive posts: Badr Al-Dhuwaibi holds the rank of brigadier in the National Guard, and Mishari Al-Dhuwaibi holds the rank of colonel staff in the same institution.
In recent years, media tensions between the UAE and Saudi Arabia have escalated following disputes and friction across several files, most notably Sudan, Yemen, and the border disagreement over the Yasat Island and other issues.
