Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Ansar Allah (Houthis), announced that his movement is preparing for another round of confrontation with the Israeli occupation. His statement — broadcast on the movement’s Al-Masirah channel on Tuesday afternoon — framed the coming clash as both a regional and moral necessity while linking it to the ongoing struggle for Palestine.
“We are entering a new round of confrontation with the Israeli enemy,” al-Houthi declared, insisting that true peace and stability in the region cannot be achieved while Israel continues its occupation of Palestine and pursues its Zionist schemes against the Islamic Ummah.
Al-Houthi emphasised that the movement must continue to build and prepare on the assumption that the next round of confrontation is imminent. He said Ansar Allah emerged stronger from its recent military engagements, noting advances in training, technical know-how, popular mobilisation, and battlefield tactics.
He called for ongoing mobilisation — both military and popular — and urged tribal leaders to maintain their proud, honourable stance through visible measures that demonstrate readiness and full preparedness. Supporters were encouraged to continue all activities, including tribal gatherings, as tangible signs of their readiness for the coming phase.
Linking these mobilisations to faith, al-Houthi invoked the concept of martyrdom — describing it as “a great honour and gift from Allah for those who die in His way.” He argued that martydom is not a substitute for life but rather the “culture of true life,” and asserted that a nation that moves forward with the spirit of jihad for the sake of Allah and the spirit of martyrdom will stand proudly and repel dangers from itself.
Al-Houthi accused Israel of continuing a campaign of destruction and persecution in Gaza even after truce agreements, and he condemned the United States as a complicit partner in what he described as “Israeli crimes.” He said Washington provided full support to the Israeli enemy and bore responsibility for the injustice and mass slaughter inflicted on the Palestinian people.
He further alleged that “America, Germany, Italy and Britain are among the primary suppliers of weapons to the Israeli enemy,” and asserted that 26 countries took part in arming Israel during the Gaza aggression. He also accused certain Arab states of continuing commercial relations with Israel during the assault on the Gaza Strip.
The Houthi leader’s remarks came after comments by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who — according to the translated report — earlier stressed Tel Aviv’s determination to remove the Houthi threat. Netanyahu reportedly described the Houthis as an extreme, fanatical movement capable of producing ballistic systems and other weapons, accused them of pursuing a programme of Israel’s destruction in coordination with Iran, and vowed to take all measures necessary to eliminate the threat.
