Numerous analysts around the world have begun to discuss the possibility of a third world war, particularly following the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. There is a resurgence of fears that scenarios witnessed in the past might repeat themselves.
In this context, the CEO of J.P. Morgan, Jamie Dimon, issued several warnings about what he described as “ignoring the risks arising from the Russian-Iranian-Chinese alliance,” emphasizing that there is “a tremendous risk, and entire cities could be wiped out.”
During a recent speech at the International Finance Institute, Dimon added, “The current conflicts ongoing in both Ukraine and the Middle East are actually the beginnings of World War III.”
The CEO, who previously labeled Russia, North Korea, and Iran as part of an “axis of evil,” continued, “These countries, in collaboration with China, could damage institutions like NATO.”
He remarked, “They are talking about it now, not waiting twenty years,” and further elaborated, “The global war has already started, with battles taking place in several countries.”
Furthermore, Dimon urged the United States to “not be deceived and to intervene in global events to ensure a resolution,” pointing to “the risk of nuclear proliferation” and asserting that “the spread of nuclear weapons is the greatest danger humanity faces; not climate change, but nuclear proliferation.”
“There has never been a situation where a leader threatens to use nuclear weapons for extortion,” he warned, adding, “If that doesn’t scare you, it should; and the more countries that possess nuclear weapons, the more entire cities are at risk of destruction.”
It is worth noting that as the United States and China vie for Taiwan in the eastern hemisphere, the Israeli occupation, with American support, has been waging a relentless war on the Gaza Strip for over a year.
According to observers in the region, the war on Gaza has begun to expand, affecting Lebanon and occasionally Syria, with escalating aerial threats and confrontations between Iran and Israel.
In recent weeks, Russia has been sending signals to the West that Moscow will respond if the United States and its allies help Ukraine launch long-range missiles deep into Russian territory; meanwhile, NATO reports that North Korea has sent forces to western Russia.
