Videos circulating widely across social media platforms have sparked claims that US forces are already deployed داخل Iranian territory, amid the ongoing military escalation. These clips have generated significant engagement, with users presenting them as evidence of a ground invasion.
Viral Footage Fails Verification
One of the most circulated videos shows the interior of a Black Hawk military helicopter flying at low altitude over a rugged, dry mountainous area. Several soldiers in camouflage gear are seated near the open door, secured with safety harnesses in positions that suggest operational readiness.
However, a detailed frame by frame analysis followed by reverse image searches confirms that the footage is not recent and has no connection to current developments. The video matches a version published in November 2025, documenting a US border patrol aerial mission.
The geographical features visible in the footage, along with the nature of the deployment, align with routine border surveillance operations rather than a combat insertion into hostile territory.
Misleading Claims Around Ground Deployment
Another widely shared clip shows soldiers moving on foot through a dense forest, carrying military packs in what appears to be a coordinated ground operation. Users promoting the video claimed it captured US forces advancing into Iranian territory, with some alleging infiltration through the Pakistani border in a mission to locate a missing American pilot.
Verification efforts, including frame tracing and reverse image analysis, reveal that this footage is also outdated. It dates back to January and was filmed in Afghanistan, not Iran.
The full version of the video further discredits the claim. Its final segment shows Pakistani children playing cricket, confirming that the circulated clip was selectively edited and taken out of context.
AI Generated Content Adds to Disinformation
In a separate case, a video showing a US female soldier claiming to be stationed داخل Iran gained over two million views within a short period. In the clip, she expresses missing her home and family while stating she will remain to fight for her country.
Technical analysis of the video exposes multiple inconsistencies. Visual distortions across frames, irregular audio synchronisation, and an unstable background all indicate that the footage was generated using artificial intelligence.
Disinformation Amplified by Political Tensions
The spread of these misleading clips coincides with recent statements by US President Donald Trump, who confirmed that Washington is engaged in what he described as “deep negotiations” with Iran. He also reiterated the possibility of targeting Iranian infrastructure if diplomatic efforts fail.
These developments have created a volatile information environment, enabling unverified and fabricated content to gain traction by appearing aligned with real world geopolitical tensions.
