Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency reported on Monday, citing informed Iranian sources, that plans are being prepared for potential operations targeting the occupation state, alongside certain regional allies aligned with the United States and the occupation authorities.
According to the report, which is affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a source stated that “special plans are being prepared tonight targeting the occupation state and some US allies and regional partners, in a way that would completely eliminate any hope of negotiations for the aggressors.”
No further details were disclosed regarding the nature or scope of these alleged plans. However, the report suggested that the situation in the Strait of Hormuz may not return to its pre-war state, even if the current conflict comes to an end.
Strategic Significance of the Strait of Hormuz
The Strait of Hormuz, located between Iran and the Sultanate of Oman, is one of the most critical maritime chokepoints in the world. Approximately 20 percent of global petroleum liquids consumption passes through this narrow waterway, making its stability a decisive factor in global energy markets.
Israeli Airstrikes Target Tehran
On the same day, the Israeli occupation army announced that it had targeted one of the main headquarters of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, along with several other military buildings in the capital, Tehran.
In an official statement, the occupation army said that its air force carried out “a wide wave of large-scale strikes on Iranian regime infrastructure.”
Earlier, Fars News Agency reported that multiple locations in Tehran were struck by Israeli air raids. Meanwhile, the Iranian Red Crescent Society stated that rescue teams were “searching beneath the rubble of a residential building in Tehran for a child.”
Targets Include Security and Weapons Infrastructure
The Israeli occupation army further stated that its strikes included headquarters of Iran’s internal security apparatus, as well as what it described as “key weapons manufacturing sites.” These reportedly included facilities linked to electronics production, ballistic missile development, and warhead research.
In a separate statement, the occupation army clarified that the targeted Revolutionary Guard headquarters was being used “to coordinate unit activities and conduct situational assessments,” in addition to directing the Basij paramilitary forces.
The statement added that the strikes form part of the current operational phase aimed at further weakening Iran’s systems and security capabilities. It also claimed that measures were taken to limit civilian harm, including the use of precision-guided munitions, aerial surveillance, and additional intelligence gathering.
