The commander of the Aerospace Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Majid Mousavi, stated that Iran “declares its missile superiority in the skies of Israel.”
According to Iranian media, he added that Tehran intends to deploy new missile systems in the coming days, noting that these systems will surprise both the United States and Israel.
For his part, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said that “if the Israeli regime fails to intercept missiles in the highly secured Dimona area, this would effectively indicate the entry into a new phase of the battle.”
He added that “the skies of Israel are unprotected, and as a result, the time appears to have come to implement previously planned operations.”
Hebrew media reported on Saturday that missiles launched from Iran were detected and intercepted near the Dimona nuclear reactor in southern “Israel.”
Earlier, Channel 12 reported that six people were killed and at least 100 others were injured following an Iranian missile strike in the Arad area in the southern occupied territories.
Arad is located near the city of Dimona, which houses the Israeli nuclear reactor, and which was also targeted, resulting in dozens of injuries.
In a related context, Hebrew media again reported the detection and interception of missiles launched from Iran near the Dimona nuclear reactor.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army confirmed that the city of Dimona had been struck by an Iranian missile, while emergency services reported 47 injuries caused by falling shrapnel, including one serious case.
Air raid sirens sounded across wide areas in southern Israel, including Beersheba and the vicinity of the Dimona reactor, following the detection of the ninth missile barrage launched from Iran.
