A source within the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed on Thursday that the U.S. administration has sent a message urging Iran to halt the war, warning of an escalation in assassination operations targeting Iranian leadership if the request is rejected. This marks the third such message delivered in recent days.
The website “Iran Now” quoted a diplomatic source within the Iranian Foreign Ministry stating that Washington sent the message for the third time through a regional country, requesting an end to the war. The source noted that this latest message was accompanied by a threat to increase the pace of assassinations inside Iran if Tehran does not comply.
The Iranian official indicated that Tehran reaffirmed its unchanged position, stating that “there will be no halt to the war before achieving Tehran’s declared objectives, as stated by its officials.”
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had previously stated that the only path to ending the war, which he said was ignited by Washington and “Tel Aviv,” is through recognition of Tehran’s rights, payment of compensation, and the provision of international guarantees against any future aggression.
Since February 28, “Israel” and the United States have been waging a war on Iran, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and security officials. Tehran has responded with missiles and drones directed toward “Israel.”
Iran has also targeted what it describes as U.S. interests in Arab countries, leading to casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, including airports, ports, and various buildings, actions that have been condemned by the affected countries.
