The Israeli occupation’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its thanks and appreciation to the United Arab Emirates through its official platform “Israel in Arabic,” following the facilitation of Israelis returning from Emirati territory to their “homes” amid the ongoing war against Iran.
“Israel in Arabic,” which is affiliated with the Israeli Foreign Ministry, said in a post: “We extend our thanks to the authorities of the United Arab Emirates for their valuable assistance in enabling Israeli citizens to return to their homes from the UAE.”
The post, which carried a notable political tone given its timing, added: “The friendship between Israel and the UAE is firm and strong, and its value is evident in times of peace as well as in times of war.”
This announcement comes at a time when airports across the region are experiencing significant disruption. Since the beginning of the Israeli American war against Iran, and Iran’s response with missiles and drones targeting Tel Aviv and countries in the region that host an American military presence, evacuation flights have become a complex and high risk operation.
Thousands of Israelis who had been spending holidays or managing business activities in Dubai and Abu Dhabi were forced to search for rapid evacuation channels after most international airlines cancelled their flights to Tel Aviv.
