The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has published its second narrative on the Al Aqsa Flood operation in both Arabic and English, under the title: “Our Narrative: Al Aqsa Flood. Two Years of Steadfastness and the Will to Liberation”.
As part of Hamas’s effort to present its political and historical account of the events that followed the 7 October 2023 attack and the ongoing Israeli war of extermination against the Gaza Strip, the movement stated on its official website: “The Al Aqsa Flood was not merely a military event, but a moment of glorious birth and the awakening of a free consciousness, free from deception and falsification”, affirming that the war and genocide that followed failed to break the Palestinian people or erase their memory.
Hamas added that the new narrative comes after “two years of genocide and steadfastness, to reaffirm the permanence of a people that cannot be erased, a resistance that cannot be defeated, and a memory that cannot be forgotten”. It stressed that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, and the return of refugees to their homes, “is not a dream, but a right guaranteed by international conventions and a historical and political entitlement”.
In its book, the movement documented two years of confrontation, reviewing the motivations behind the Al Aqsa Flood operation and its historical contexts as an act of resistance to occupation. It also addressed the military course of the war in the Gaza Strip, documenting the scale of destruction and casualties, while highlighting the steadfastness of the Palestinian people in the face of displacement policies.
The Hamas narrative is presented across eight chapters as follows:
- Chapter One: The Flood. Motives and Contexts.
- Chapter Two: Al Aqsa Flood. The Day of the Glorious Crossing (7 October 2023).
- Chapter Three: Investigating the 7 October Attack. Yes to Revealing the Truth.
- Chapter Four: The Course of the War on Gaza.
- Chapter Five: Hamas’s Efforts to Stop the Aggression and the Donald Trump Plan.
- Chapter Six: The Achievements of the Al Aqsa Flood.
- Chapter Seven: Hamas Cannot Be Isolated.
- Chapter Eight: Priorities of the Next Phase.
