The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, announced that its fighters detonated a pre-rigged house with explosive devices, destroying an Israeli engineering unit in Gaza City’s al-Nasr neighbourhood.
According to the Brigades, the explosives were a combination of locally manufactured charges and repurposed remnants left behind by the Israeli occupation army. The building was detonated at the precise moment enemy troops entered, eliminating the force entirely.
The statement explained that the resistance fighters re-engineered unexploded ordnance left by the occupation, turning it against them in a carefully planned reverse operation. As the soldiers entered the building to prepare it for demolition, resistance fighters triggered the massive blast.
The operation was also supported by a “Hudhud” drone, which monitored and documented the soldiers’ entry before the detonation.
The Al-Quds Brigades stressed that the explosion left no survivors, confirming that none of the occupation soldiers emerged alive or even wounded. All those inside were either killed or went missing in the blast.
In retaliation, the Israeli military launched extremely heavy and unprecedented airstrikes on the surrounding area of the operation site.
