Hebrew media outlets reported that sirens sounded in the occupied city of Ashdod following the launch of two rockets from the Gaza Strip.
According to these reports, one rocket landed near the settlement of Nitzan, while the Iron Dome missile defence system intercepted the second.
Channel 12 added that the rockets which struck Ashdod were launched by the Palestinian resistance from the Jabalia area in northern Gaza, noting that the launch site was an area where Israeli occupation forces are currently deployed.
Al-Qassam Brigades Sniper Operation
In a separate development, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced on Saturday that its fighters successfully targeted an Israeli soldier with sniper fire in the al-Zarqa area, south of Jabalia in northern Gaza, inflicting a direct hit.
