The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), have released new footage documenting a powerful ambush against the invading Israeli occupation forces in the northern Gaza Strip.
The video shows Al-Qassam fighters preparing specialised explosive charges designed to destroy Israeli armoured vehicles. The fighters are seen concealing themselves and advancing carefully to plant the explosives along the path of the occupation forces near the Safatawi junction, west of Jabalia refugee camp.
Moments later, the footage captures the detonation of two Israeli tanks as they moved into the area, triggering the pre-planted landmine field. The blasts inflicted direct damage on the advancing armoured units, forcing the occupation to confront yet another setback in its ground operations.
According to the video release, the operation took place on the 5th of this month, during one of the recent Israeli incursions in the region.
