Social media platforms witnessed a wave of criticism and disappointment over the draft resolution issued by the emergency Arab-Islamic Summit convened in Doha.
Activists argued that the wording of the draft falls far short of the moment, failing to reflect the depth of popular outrage over the recent Israeli attack on Qatar.
Public Anger Over Weak Response
Commentators online described the statement as weak and disappointing, with many demanding stronger and clearer positions in response to Israeli aggression. They stressed that the peoples of the Muslim world are waiting for practical decisions, not just statements of condemnation.
Activists further noted that the Doha draft recycled the same traditional rhetoric that has long failed to stop or deter Israel’s violations.
Draft Resolution Mentions “Peace” and Normalisation
An updated draft of the resolution, set to be discussed at the summit in Doha on Monday, stated that Israel’s assault on Doha last week — along with its ongoing hostile actions — threatens efforts to normalise relations with Arab states.
The draft text warned that:
“The Israeli attack on Qatar, and the continuation of Israel’s hostile practices — including genocide, ethnic cleansing, starvation, siege, settlement expansion, and colonial policies — endanger prospects for peace and coexistence in the region. These actions threaten all that has been achieved in the path of normalisation with Israel, including existing and future agreements.”

There has always been a leadership problem in the Muslim world. Iran says there must be practical responses and not mere talk. Unfortunately, all Arab leaders are vassals to the USA and Israel. I don’t like them. Form military cooperation with Iran and Turkey and cut ties with USA and Israel. Bomb it decisively. That’s a clear message.
