Yati Narsinghanand, a Hindutva priest notorious for provocative statements, has ignited fresh Islamophobic controversy by advocating for a “Hindu-only nation” and the removal of mosques, madrasas, and Muslims.
During a gathering of saffron-clad men on Thursday, September 11, 2025, a video circulating on social media captured his inflammatory remarks. He argued, “Christians have over 100 countries, Muslims have 57, and Jews have one. We are 100 crore Hindus with not even one state.”
He blamed Mahatma Gandhi and India’s first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, for Hindus lacking a nation, claiming their leadership prevented Hindus from securing their own land.
In the video, Narsinghanand escalated his rhetoric, praying for a country free of mosques, madrasas, and Muslims, stating, “We are fed up. The whole earth has gotten out of control. May Maa and Mahadev protect us, save our children, and destroy those against Sanatan Dharma.” His remarks, delivered with his hands folded, have stirred widespread outrage.
Born Deepak Tyagi, the 58-year-old priest studied in Russia and worked as an engineer in the UK before returning to India in 2007 to become a temple priest. Facing multiple criminal cases for hate speech, Narsinghanand has a history of communal provocation.
In December 2024, he organised a ‘Dharam Sansad’ in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, where a 15-minute video showed him delivering an Islamophobic speech calling for the massacre of Indian Muslims and the establishment of a Hindu Rashtra.
Despite past arrests, critics accuse the Uttar Pradesh police of leniency toward Narsinghanand, allowing him to evade accountability for his Islamophobic and misogynistic comments.
His latest statements have reignited debates on hate speech and religious tolerance in India, with authorities yet to respond decisively. The priest’s actions continue to fuel tensions, drawing sharp criticism from various quarters. — With Agencies

What an utterly egregious man. If only he knew history and learnt something about the world, he wouldn’t be so blinkered and blinded by hate. People with very little achievements in life spew such hatred to detract 😂.
