The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, announced the destruction of several Israeli military vehicles in ambushes set up in Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighbourhood, an area subjected to relentless Israeli bombardment in recent days.
Ambushes Against Occupation Forces
According to the Brigades, their fighters detonated an Israeli military vehicle using a highly explosive shaped-charge device, previously planted near the Al-Nujoom Hall in southern Al-Zaytoun on Sunday.
In a separate operation, another Israeli armoured vehicle was destroyed with the same type of powerful explosive device in the Al-Maslaba area of Al-Zaytoun.
The statement added that resistance fighters observed Israeli forces evacuating wounded soldiers from the scene following the blasts.
Rocket Strikes on Israeli Settlements
The Al-Quds Brigades also released footage showing the targeting of two Israeli settlements near Gaza with locally produced rockets. The video documents fighters preparing the launch platforms in the central Gaza Strip, setting up the rockets, and firing them toward the designated targets.
These operations underscore the ongoing resilience of the Palestinian resistance despite Israel’s intensified military campaign in Gaza, highlighting its ability to strike both advancing occupation forces inside the Strip and settlements beyond its borders.
