The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, has released dramatic footage showing its fighters targeting Israeli occupation soldiers and vehicles along the eastern axes of Gaza City.
The Brigades stated that these scenes are part of Operation “Hijarat Dawood” (Stones of David), launched by the Palestinian resistance in response to the Israeli military campaign known as “Chariots of Gideon.”
The video revealed multiple operations, including sniper attacks on occupation soldiers east of Gaza, direct strikes on military vehicles, and heavy fire targeting infantry units. Several artillery and rocket bombardments were also documented, hitting Israeli gatherings inside the city.
Complex Ambush in al-Zaytoun
On Thursday, Al-Qassam confirmed that its fighters had carried out a series of ambushes against Israeli forces attempting to advance in the Gaza Strip.
In an official statement, the Brigades reported:
“On Wednesday morning, our fighters successfully executed a complex ambush targeting a Zionist force in the area of al-Bar’asi, south of al-Zaytoun, in southern Gaza City.”
According to the statement, resistance fighters:
- Struck an Israeli unit barricaded inside a house with a TBG anti-armor shell,
- Opened fire with machine guns at an enemy sniper stationed in a nearby building,
- Destroyed two armored personnel carriers with explosive charges planted inside their cockpits,
- And hit another “Namer” APC using the Yasin-105 rocket.
During the withdrawal phase, the fighters shelled two houses occupied by Israeli soldiers with tandem rockets and Yasin-105 projectiles, confirming that enemy forces suffered casualties, both killed and wounded, in the ambush.
Strategic Rocket Strikes
Earlier this week, on Monday, the Brigades also announced that they had launched rocket barrages against strategic Israeli military positions in Gaza.
One statement revealed that fighters struck a command-and-control site on al-Surani hill, east of al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, using mortar shells.
A second statement confirmed a similar strike on another Israeli command post along the Salah al-Din axis, near Zarab hill south of Rafah, with salvos of short-range 114mm rockets.
Ongoing Resistance in Gaza
The Israeli military has not issued an official response to these latest operations. Meanwhile, the Palestinian resistance continues to confront the occupation’s ongoing onslaught—what Palestinians widely describe as a genocidal war against Gaza that has entered its 22nd consecutive month.
These operations come as part of the broader battle named “Operation al-Aqsa Flood”, under which Palestinian factions have sustained their armed defense of Gaza against Israeli aggression.
