A ceasefire between Iran and the Israeli occupation officially took effect at the time announced by U.S. President Donald Trump early Tuesday.
Trump claimed the ceasefire agreement would not have been possible without “the talent and courage of the B-2 bomber pilots and everyone involved in that operation,” referring to the recent American-led strikes on Iranian territory.
He went on to describe the military operation as “perfect,” asserting that it paved the way for bringing all parties to the table. Trump emphasised that both Iran and Israel were seeking a ceasefire.
Earlier, Trump had already announced a ceasefire agreement between the two sides.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated that a comprehensive and total ceasefire agreement had been reached between Israel and Iran, adding that it would be implemented in stages.
According to his announcement, the ceasefire would begin with Iran halting its attacks, followed shortly by Israel, and would initially last for 12 hours before the conflict would be considered officially ended.
“Congratulations to all,” Trump declared. “A full and complete ceasefire agreement has been reached between Israel and Iran.”
He also claimed credit for ending what he described as a war that could have lasted for years.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported that a senior Iranian official confirmed Tehran’s agreement to a ceasefire with Israel, following Qatari mediation and an American proposal.
Israeli media also quoted an unnamed Israeli official who confirmed Qatar’s role as mediator between Tel Aviv and Tehran during the ceasefire negotiations.
In parallel, another source familiar with the negotiations told Reuters that Qatar’s Prime Minister personally engaged with Tehran, helping secure Iran’s conditional acceptance of the American-brokered truce.
For his part, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran had no intention of continuing its military operations—provided Israel halted its illegal aggression by 4 a.m. local time.
He noted, however, that the final decision on suspending Iran’s military response would be made based on developments.

Why don’t Israel stop killing Palestine people and destroying Gaza . That must also stop.
Unfortunately, the world got busy with Iran and forgot Gaza..
