According to Yedioth Ahronoth, an Israeli military official has acknowledged that Iran is beginning to recover from the airstrikes launched by Israel, particularly in the area of air defence. The official confirmed that Israel has detected efforts by Iran to restore and reinforce its military capabilities.
The source stated that Iran still possesses effective radar and surveillance systems, and has resumed the launch of anti-aircraft missiles, signalling the reactivation of its defensive posture.
The report adds that Iran maintains significant offensive capabilities, including missile launch platforms, air defence systems, and other military assets that remain functional despite Israeli bombardment.
Iran’s Missile Production Ambitions
According to the same source, Iran had been planning to produce dozens of advanced ballistic missiles each month, with a strategic goal of manufacturing approximately 11,000 ballistic missiles within a decade, alongside the development of mobile and fixed launch platforms.
These ambitions, coupled with Iran’s existing infrastructure, continue to worry Israeli military officials, who fear that a prolonged war of attrition with Iran—without a parallel diplomatic track—could lead to extended instability and rising costs.
Israel’s Ongoing War Against Iran
Since June 13, Israel has been conducting a military campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran, targeting not only nuclear facilities but also military and civilian infrastructure. The Israeli campaign has included the assassination of senior Iranian military figures, including the Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Chief of Staff, as well as the killing of top nuclear scientists.
In response, Iran launched a series of missile attacks, causing unprecedented destruction across multiple Israeli cities.
