According to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, the Zionist entity has formally requested international military assistance to intercept the barrage of Iranian attacks launched in response to Israel’s recent aggression against Tehran.
The report confirms that Israel appealed to both France and Britain for help in intercepting Iranian drones and ballistic missiles targeting Israeli cities.
British Response, French Hesitation
The official broadcaster’s website stated that Britain has already responded positively, offering operational support.
An Israeli official revealed that London had previously intervened during two earlier flashpoints between Iran and Israel, referred to as “True Promise 1” and “True Promise 2.”
In contrast, a French government source indicated ongoing hesitation in responding to Tel Aviv’s request, amid internal deliberations over France’s role in such military confrontations.
This isn’t the first time Israel has depended on Western military backing to confront Iranian strikes. A joint international coalition had previously been formed to shield the occupation during the earlier phases of Iranian retaliation.
Iran’s Escalating Response
Iran has intensified its counterstrikes, targeting key military and urban zones in Haifa, Tel Aviv, and other regions. The unprecedented damage caused widespread shock and disarray across the Israeli public and political leadership.
Iran launched fresh waves of missiles, striking numerous Israeli targets. The toll:
- 10 confirmed deaths, including:
- 6 fatalities in Bat Yam, adjacent to Tel Aviv
- 4 women killed in the northern city of Tamra, in the Galilee region
- 200+ wounded, with at least 7 still missing
The attacks brought the total death toll since Friday to 13, with over 300 injured.
Tel Aviv Bears the Brunt
The Tel Aviv metropolitan area has endured some of the heaviest destruction.
- The Mayor of Bat Yam confirmed ongoing search operations for individuals trapped under rubble from a directly hit residential building.
- A total of 61 buildings were damaged, with 6 declared structurally unsound and marked for complete demolition.
Rescue teams continue to search through the debris under extremely difficult conditions, grappling with collapsed structures, power outages, and persistent aftershocks.
Israeli Aggression Targets Tehran
In parallel, the occupation launched wide-scale airstrikes on Tehran and other Iranian cities, prompting condemnation from regional allies.
Iran’s Ministry of Defense reported:
- A government building and a scientific research center were hit
- A major fuel depot in the capital was also targeted
These retaliatory strikes by the Israeli regime mark a continued spiral of violence, deepening the regional crisis and further exposing Israel’s reliance on Western military powers to prop up its security amid growing resistance.
