Hebrew media accounts have broadcast dramatic footage showing a bold act of Palestinian resistance — a fighter detonating an explosive device directly beneath an Israeli tank deep inside a military incursion zone in Gaza.
The footage shows an Israeli Merkava tank advancing cautiously down a rubble-filled street, surrounded by the ruins of destroyed homes. Suddenly, from beneath the shattered remains of one of the houses, a Palestinian resistance fighter emerges. With precision and fearless resolve, he plants an explosive device at point-blank range—directly at the rear of the tank, a known weak spot and the entry point for Israeli soldiers.
In a matter of seconds, the fighter plants the charge, arms it, and retreats back to safety without being detected. Moments later, a massive explosion rips through the tank, striking it with a direct and powerful blast.
Throughout the months of aggression against Gaza, such heroic resistance operations have become a recurring nightmare for the occupation forces. Palestinian fighters have repeatedly targeted Israeli military vehicles with improvised explosive devices (IEDs), inflicting heavy damage and significant losses. The close-range nature of these attacks has posed serious challenges to the occupation’s military strategy and exposed the vulnerability of their ground forces.
