The Zionist occupation authorities evacuated the settlement of Neve Shalom on Wednesday, located between Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Tel Aviv, following the outbreak of a large fire in nearby wooded areas. The blaze, fueled by soaring temperatures and strong winds, prompted urgent action.
This evacuation raises the total number of Israeli settlements cleared due to the escalating fires to five. Additionally, the main highway connecting occupied Jerusalem and Tel Aviv has been closed.
In a striking move, the occupying entity appealed for international assistance—requesting firefighting aircraft from Greece, Croatia, Italy, and Greek-controlled Cyprus to help contain the blazes.

They added that approximately 50 firefighting teams, 12 aircraft, and a helicopter were deployed in efforts to extinguish the flames.
“The region is experiencing intense winds, contributing to the rapid spread of the fire,” the statement continued.
Authorities also issued warnings to nearby settlements, urging residents to prepare for potential evacuation orders.
Just last week, Israeli forces evacuated the settlers of Mevaseret Zion and Eshtaol, also situated between Al-Quds and Tel Aviv, due to widespread forest fires triggered by rising temperatures and high winds.
