In a series of meticulously coordinated operations, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that it had successfully neutralised an Israeli force in a deadly ambush inside a booby-trapped tunnel south of Khan Younis, amid growing silence from the Israeli military regarding its losses over the past 48 hours.
Heavy Blows to Armoured Bulldozers
Al-Qassam also revealed that on the same day, its fighters detonated three high-powered explosive devices targeting two Israeli D9 military bulldozers in the same zone, delivering serious damage to the advancing vehicles.

In a continuation of the ambush strategy, three more D9 bulldozers were attacked using a combination of:
-
- Yassin anti-armour projectiles
-
- Shawaz explosives
-
- And barrel bombs
All strikes were conducted within the southern Khan Younis sector, which has become a hotspot of resistance activity in recent weeks.
Elite Forces Caught in House Trap
Just days earlier, Al-Qassam reported a similar ambush in eastern Rafah, where a special Israeli unit was drawn into a booby-trapped house in the Abu Al-Rous neighbourhood.
Once the Zionist force entered the structure, pre-planted explosives were detonated, inflicting casualties among the troops, according to the military wing’s statement.
Tank Targeted in East Khan Younis
These operations follow a previous incident in which a concealed explosive device was detonated beneath an Israeli Merkava tank during its incursion into eastern Khan Younis, further proving the ongoing presence, agility, and resolve of the Palestinian resistance despite Israel’s claims of military gains.
A Message to the Occupation
While the Israeli occupation attempts to portray its ground campaign as successful, the series of deadly ambushes—ranging from tunnel traps to anti-bulldozer strikes—reveal a different story:
The resistance is entrenched, organised, and fully capable of inflicting losses at every stage of the invasion.
The Al-Qassam Brigades continue to rely on asymmetric warfare tactics, leveraging their knowledge of terrain, strategic patience, and technical expertise in urban warfare, demonstrating that even amid overwhelming firepower, the spirit of resistance remains unbroken.
