In the early hours of Sunday, the Israeli Security Cabinet (“Kabinett”) approved a proposal to establish a “Special Directorate” aimed at expelling Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, in line with U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan.
The Ministry of Defense stated that the new directorate will oversee the organization of what it described as the “voluntary relocation of Gaza residents to third countries, for those who wish to do so,” as part of the ongoing genocidal campaign against Gaza.
Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, who introduced the proposal, stated, “We will allow any Gaza resident who wishes to leave the territory to move to a third country voluntarily.”

The new directorate will coordinate with international organizations and other relevant agencies. Among its tasks, it will prepare and implement procedures to facilitate the “safe and organized relocation” of Gaza residents to third countries, ensuring their movement is secured.
The directorate will be responsible for creating designated pathways and pedestrian inspection centers at Gaza’s border crossings, in addition to coordinating the necessary infrastructure for their passage by land, sea, and air to the targeted countries.
